Ray DeWitt

AAMS, CRPC
President, Co-Founder

With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Ray is dedicated to helping his clients make informed and intelligent decisions about their finances. His vision is to guide investors toward a path of success, enabling them to achieve their individual goals through strategic planning and tax efficient approaches.

Ray specializes in a variety of areas, including 1031 Exchange opportunities, tax planning, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS), oil and gas investing and precious metals. He believes in the power of utilizing and creating passive income streams to enhance financial well-being for each of his clients.

As a securities rep and registered investment advisor, Ray has worked in executive positions at Ameriprise, US Bank Wealth Management, Upstream Investment Partners and Bangerter Financial. He currently holds Series 6, 7, 63 and 65. Ray is a fully licensed life and health insurance agent and holds a real estate license that encompasses him to offer a diverse range of services for his clients. Getting to know more about the community and clients he serves, Ray is a current member of the Entrepreneurs Organization where successful entrepreneurs connect, learn and grow together. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Safari Club International, Utah chapter.

Brandon Burger

Partner, Director of Energy Products

Brandon Burger is a Partner and Director of Energy Products at 1031 DST Group, where he helps accredited investors access alternative assets including energy programs, real estate, opportunity zone funds, and 1031 DST programs. Based in the Dallas office, he’s focused on expanding the firm’s reach nationwide.

Before joining 1031 DST Group, Brandon served as Executive Vice President of Resource Royalty and worked in acquisitions at Shepherd Royalty. He also worked on the land side of energy with Turner Oil & Gas. He’s built his career on understanding what clients actually need and creating partnerships that deliver results.

Brandon is a Marine Corps veteran and holds Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.

A global traveler and music lover who plays drums, Brandon has lived all over the US, from California and Washington State to Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Philadelphia, and South Jersey.

Todd May

Vice President of Business Development

Todd May is a seasoned business development executive with nearly two decades of senior leadership experience and a lifelong passion for building relationships that drive business growth. Throughout his 20 year career in the wine and spirits industry, Todd held progressive revenue management roles with some of the most recognized names in the business, including Republic National Distributing Company and Constellation Brands.

Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales for WES Brands, where he led large scale growth initiatives, managed key accounts, and developed the strategic vision required to compete in a dynamic, highly competitive marketplace. Early in his career, Todd also worked in the mortgage industry as both an underwriter and loan officer, providing him with firsthand knowledge of lending processes, financial risk assessment, and client-focused financial solutions.

Todd graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

He is based in Dallas and, outside of work, enjoys traveling with his wife and three children, as well as playing tennis and golf.

Kristi Scott

Alternative Operations Associate

Kristi Scott has over 10 years of experience working as a dedicated processor supporting registered representatives, having developed extensive expertise in the investment real estate industry. She specializes in managing client paperwork and facilitating smooth, accurate transactions, with a strong focus on 1031 exchanges, including Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs) and other alternative investment solutions.

Based in West Sacramento, California, she takes pride in providing detailed, dependable support to both representatives and their clients throughout the investment process. Her background has given her a deep understanding of the importance of organization, compliance, and efficiency when handling time-sensitive real estate and investment documentation.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, wine tasting and staying active in the community through her involvement with the Moose Lodge organization. Above all, she is a proud mother to her son, Austin, who is 20 years old.

Michael Hernandez

Michael is a Client Advisor with the Wealth Strategies Advisory Group (WSAG), where he helps guide high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners through strategic real estate planning, specializing in 1031 exchanges and Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs). With a Master’s in Real Estate Development and a background in commercial brokerage and acquisitions, Michael integrates deep real estate knowledge with WSAG’s comprehensive wealth management platform.

Leveraging WSAG’s proprietary Household Endowment Model® and a team-based approach, Michael offers clients access to advanced tax mitigation strategies, institutional alternative investments, and multi-generational legacy planning. His focus is on educating clients, simplifying complex transactions, and delivering thoughtful, tax-efficient outcomes that align with their long-term financial goals.

With over 8 years of experience as a marketing specialist in paid media, UX/UI design, video editing, and digital branding, Sara integrates data-driven strategy with creative execution. Guided by principles of ethical communication and accessibility, she is passionate about connecting the firm’s services with the right audiences in a way that creates value and supports financial goals for individuals and their families.
